Aims of the Conference

  • To provide a platform for intellectuals from various fields to discuss and share experiences on contemporary legal issues.
  • To enhance network and collaboration among the participants from various disciplines.
  • To encounter legal issues from different perspectives both globally and locally.

 

Theme: “REFLECTING ON THE FUTURE: ADVANCES IN LAW”

This theme illustrates the importance of elements of law, justice and integrity which are an integral part of legal theorists and practitioners to innovate and adapt to potential new and current legal boundaries emerging in the borderless world today.

Broadly, the main areas of the theme of this conference include but are not limited to:

Track 1: Law

  • Public law (e.g., constitutional law, criminal law, environmental law);
  • Private law (e.g., contract law, employment law, franchise law);
  • International law (e.g., maritime law, conflict of law, international trade, cross-border issues);
  • Shari’ah (Islamic Law) issues (e.g., Islamic criminal law, Islamic family law, Islamic banking and finance law).

Track 2: Society

  • Social and legal issues (corporate social responsibility, social welfare issues, socio-economic studies, social responses);
  • Healthcare
  • Criminal
  • Gender
  • Child

Submission Guidelines

  • The paper must be an original work and has not been previously accepted in a journal or under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • All papers must conform to the Conference Proceedings standard. Please follow the Proceedings Template (Download proceedings template HERE)
  • Abstract must be between 200 to 250 words only.
  • Title of the paper must not exceed twelve (12) words.
  • Each paper should contain: Introduction, Problem Statement, Research Questions, Purpose of Study, Research Methods, Findings, Conclusion, Acknowledgement (if any) and References.
  • The paper must be written in English with a minimum of 5000 words and a maximum of 7000 words including an abstract, references, table, figures and appendices.
  • Abstract and paper (in Microsoft Word format) must be sent through OpenConf Peer Review and Management System.

Publication Opportunities

  • All submitted full papers will go through a double-blind review process. After a thorough review, accepted papers of UUMILC2023 will be considered for publication in the e-proceedings. Please refer to the full Peer Review Process HERE.
