Call for Papers
UUMILC 2021 invites academician, legal practitioner, policymaker, student and other parties who are interested in the legal and related fields to submit extended abstracts and full papers.
Conference Themes and Subthemes
The theme of this conference is “LAW AND SOCIETY: EMBRACING THE NEW NORMS”
This theme illustrates the intersection between law and society in adapting ‘new norms’ in the post-Covid-19 era. In essence, the central discussion is expected to embody constructive ideas about the impacts of the ‘new norms’ to the law and society, and how would be the best way forward.
Broadly, the main areas of the theme of this conference include but not limited to:
Track 1: Law
o Public law (e.g: constitutional law, criminal law, environmental law etc);
o Private law (e.g: contract law, employment law, franchise law etc.);
o International law (e.g: maritime law, conflict of law, international trade, cross-border issues etc.);
o Shari’ah (Islamic Law) issues (e.g: Islamic criminal law, Islamic family law, Islamic banking and finance law).
Track 2: Society
o Social legal issues (corporate social responsibility, social welfare issues, socio-economic studies, social responses etc.);
o Healthcare
o Criminal
o Gender
o Child issues

Full paper guidelines
- The papers must be original and have not been previously accepted in any journal or under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- Papers must be sent in MS Word format through OpenConf Peer Review and Conference Management System.
- All papers must conform to UUMILC 2021 standard i.e. single-column format set in MS Word Template.
- Extended Abstract must be written in English with a maximum of 2 single-spaced pages.
- Journal Article must be written in English with a range of 8-12 single-spaced pages, including an abstract, references, tables, figures and appendices.
- Templates for both Extended Abstract and Journal Article can be downloaded from the ‘Downloads/Submission’ tab.
- Any additional page for Journal Article will be charged USD 30 per page.
